The very first Lamborghini, the 350 GTV, was presented at the Turin Auto Show in November 1963 and was immediately taken very seriously. It competed with the leaders of the tracks, thanks to its powerful V12 engine designed by no other than Giotto Bizzarrini, Chief Engineer for Ferrari. The 350 GT and 400 GT closely followed in 1964, and then the emblematic Lamborghini Miura in 1965, which completely revolutionized the world of super sports cars by becoming the fastest produced sports car in the world, with a top speed of 280 km/h and a dazzling acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
Over the next decades, Lamborghini manufactured many cars that also deeply impacted the automotive history: Marzal (1967), Islero (1968), Espada (1968), Jarama (1970) and Countach (1974), to name just a few.
